Zero Company leaves one percent for disaster

Patch 1.2 adds campaign modifiers for fallible assist fire, enemy critical hits and increasingly lethal defeats.

Star Wars Zero Company now has a setting called No Perfect Shots. Switch it on and every Operator’s ranged attack tops out at a 99% hit chance. One percent is plenty of room for a blaster to develop an opinion.

The October 15 update also lets assist shots miss under normal ranged-attack rules, and gives enemy attacks a 5% critical-hit chance for eight extra damage. These are separate campaign modifiers, available on any difficulty.

Escalating Risk of Death starts each Operator with a 20% chance of dying permanently when defeated in tactical combat. Survive once and the risk rises to 40%; survive a second defeat and it reaches 80%. Galaxy Map Operations do not trigger or increase that risk.

Other options stop grenades, scatterguns and flamethrowers from generating Advantage, or prevent Focus Points from increasing maximum health. Select modifiers under Additional Campaign Options when starting a new campaign; they take effect after the tutorial.
