Ocarina of Time gives its boss rematches a stopwatch

The Switch 2 remake’s Hall of Fallen Foes puts defeated monsters on pedestals and records rematch times.

King Dodongo has a museum exhibit now. He also has a rematch button. Nintendo’s October 14 overview trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time introduces the Hall of Fallen Foes, where defeated monsters become statues and bosses get another appointment with Link.

The exhibits include descriptions and the places those enemies inhabit. Select a boss rematch and a timer runs through the fight; the statue’s information screen includes a Rematch Time field. Hyrule has found a way to combine museum attendance with shaving seconds off a giant lizard.

Nintendo’s feature announcement (Japanese)

Ocarina of Time 3D offered Boss Challenge in 2011, with individual rematches and a continuous series of fights. The Switch 2 remake houses its rematches in this new gallery of defeated enemies.

The remake launches November 5, 2026, exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.
