HeroQuest hands you the keys to Zargon’s dungeon

Nomad Games’ newly announced PC adaptation includes online co-op, a playable villain and a quest editor with community sharing.

HeroQuest’s next digital dungeon comes with a job opening for the villain. Nomad Games announced HeroQuest: Digital Edition on October 16, with the option to play as Zargon and turn the dungeon’s monsters and traps against the adventurers.

The Barbarian, Dwarf, Elf and Wizard can form a party of up to four players in online co-op, or fall under one player’s command in solo play. Zargon’s assignment is to stop them. Dungeon management has a fairly blunt performance review.

A Quest Editor will let players build their own adventures, while built-in mod.io integration opens up quests made by the community. Nomad is developing the officially licensed adaptation with Hasbro and publisher Balor Games.

The Steam page is live, and playtest sign-ups are open through the official HeroQuest site.
