Beef closes Coxie’s 6,572-hour RuneScape pet hunt
Jagex confirms the fastest collection of all 71 pets by in-game playtime. The last arrival was a little cow.
Beef arrived after 565 kills, and Coxie’s Old School RuneScape pet hunt was finally done. The little cow was number 71. When Coxie announced the finish on October 10, his account had logged 273 days and 20 hours of playtime: 6,572 hours to fill the collection.
Jagex confirmed the world record on October 13, following verification by its data team. The record measures time spent in-game. Coxie’s account had existed for three years, nine months and 23 days when Beef appeared. That is quite a wait for the herd to assemble.
The route involved some very specific arithmetic. Coxie’s skilling FAQ puts the squirrel pet at an expected 133 hours on the Penguin Agility Course, compared with 246 hours on the fifth floor of the Hallowed Sepulchre. His plan moved to Penguin after level 95 Agility. Elsewhere, the itinerary called for two-tick swordfish north of Port Piscarillius and 1.5-tick teak trees on Fossil Island.
